In the third edition for Icon Magazine 2023 a ten page cover story was released taking you along on Annastasia Seebohm Giacomini and Brilliant Minds preparations for the big event in June of 2023. I got the honor to shoot the images for the story.

PUBLIC INITIATIVE:
TENSTA
In 2023 Brilliant Minds partnered up with Kevin Durant Foundation, Hoop Dreams and Stockholm Stad (The city of Stockholm) to create two new basketball courts in Tensta, an area in the suburbs of Stockholm, to foster a sense of togetherness amongst young people in the area, bringing health, fun and a vibrant sense of community. The courts were unveiled prior to the Brilliant Minds 2023 event in Stockholm.

CRAFT SPORTSWEAR
Craft Sportswear launched their official Run Club during 2022 which needed a Run Club media campaign. The idea for the shoot was to capture a group of runners having a great time together during their runs and ending with a dinner/beer hangout at a bar/restaurant. The images needed to have an urban vibe that would fit different cities across the world, but taken at the same spot in Gothenburg. The graphics and videos are made by Milk GBG. Photographs by me.
AI WEIWEI: THE ARCH

“Arch speaks directly to the global waves of isolationist sentiment that dominate today’s political climate, reflecting on the political divisiveness and the rise of anti-immigrant nationalism. Through its structure reminiscent of a birdcage and its human-shaped passage, Ai, a refugee himself, creates a public ode to freedom, using the silhouette of intertwined human figures to represent the free passage of all populations and appealing for the creation of borderless and fenceless territories.”
The Arch was raised outside of the National Museum in Stockholm in June 2022. I photographed Ai Weiwei and the 12 meter tall art piece in its new surroundings the night prior to the unveiling, trying to integrate the beautiful city of Stockholm and the stillness that was present at the time.
